Association of Interior Specialists AIS wanted to highlight the benefits of working in the Interiors sector of the Construction Industry to attract individuals into careers, apprenticeships and training as well as extolling the benefits of AIS to would-be members. We developed and delivered a film and supporting literature to support this important initiative We filmed on live sites using real trainees, contractors, apprentices, colleges and students and AIS representatives to provide a succinct view of the industry, roles and responsibilities and examples of ongoing and finished projects covering an NHS, private organisations and individuals involved in the 2012 Olympic stadia. The film is particularly targeted at younger students and our approach was to host it on Youtube, AIS and ConstructionSkills websites to maximise opportunities to attract individuals and signpost them to further advice and support. The participating colleges also host the film as part of their drive to promote the careers in Interiors and the courses they run to support learning and development. The film can be viewed through the following link: http://www.ais-interiors.org.uk/training-2/careers-in-interior-systems/ Other Examples: Project – “Finding Time” http://www.teachers.tv/video/2813
